1985 Honda Rebel
First memories connected with Motorcycles.
I grew up with a strict father who forbid me to ride any kind of motorcycle, which only encouraged me to ride dirt bikes and three-wheelers with my friends behind his back. It wasn’t until three years ago, once I started dating my boyfriend, that I became exposed to the world of motorcycles. This was a natural progression for me.
First Ride experience.
My first solo ride was one year ago. It was a quick shakedown on my freshly made over Rebel, on the back roads of Sykesville, Maryland with my best friend, Anna.
More about your Bike.
When I bought my crusty 1985Honda Rebel I knew immediately that I wanted to completely transform it and make it unique. I’m fortunate to have talented friends who could help me accomplish that. It expresses my personality and fits me perfectly.
A Moto trip, alone or with others?
Definitely with others. Being a new rider, I find comfort in numbers.
With others? Ideal Moto companion or crew.
I have an amazing circle of friends who ride, inspire, and encourage me.
What about your local Moto scene?
Most of my friends believe motorcycles should be built, not bought.
A place or a road you recommend to enjoy Motorcycles.
I just got back from Daytona Bike week and really enjoyed riding around New Smyrna Beach.
Any Moto event you can’t miss?
Events are fun, but I’m not too concerned with them.
When you are not on Two Wheels what do you do?
Fashion and Bulldogs are two of my passions. I enjoy traveling with my boyfriend, Dan, and our tiny English Bulldog, Clementine. I run an Instagram account for her ,(@_darlin_clementine), which has become very popular. I use the account to bring awareness to the breed, to help raise money for rescues, and to make people smile. I have met some amazing people and it is very fulfilling.
Best Moto Adventure and what will be your next adventure?
Being a new rider, every ride is an adventure for me. I’m excited for the Fox Run this summer; an all-girl camping and riding adventure.
A Motorcycle is…
Freedom. It is never too late to find new passions.
