When did you start with art? What were your first influences?
Everything started when I was a teenager. Instead of doing my homework, I used to listen to metal music and paint!
When I finished high school, I decided to study fine arts! So I went to Bologna and I graduated in illustration.
One of my influences is Mark Ryden and the pop surrealism movement, that I adore!
Has your style changed over time? How do you define it today?
Yes, sure, and I hope that my style will keep on changing over the years. I think that it’s very important not to stop searching, experimenting and training.
If I have to define it, I’d say that my style is feminist and ironic.
Tell me 3 things that inspire you right now.
There isn’t something in particular. I get inspiration by all the events that surround us, from social aspects to lighter topics.
Inspiration. When you don’t have it, what do you do?
I start listening to music and hope that it works!
Sometimes a new playlist helps me change mood and maybe to find a new inspiration.
Which are the artistic projects that you love and which subjects you like to represent?
I love to express feelings, especially my feelings about memories, love, work, and being a woman.
That’s why most of my subjects are women, I relate to that.
What are your passions besides art?
I would say music, because I love going to concerts and finding new tunes.
The other passion is pole dance! I started last years and I’m having so much fun!
What is the aim of your art?
I’d love to move people with my work and force them to think about their lives, and at the same time make them laugh!!!
What are you working on?
Now I’m working on new project for spring, I have to start very early!
Have you any future plans or artistic dreams that you can share with us?
Speaking of the project of this spring, I’d love to mix some different media, some illustrations with sculpture, and see what happens!
Isabella, what is Art for you?
One of my favorite things. It’s a healthy way to express bad and good vibes!
